Common questions
Who is NOT a good candidate?
It is usually not appropriate for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have active skin infections (like cold sores, bacterial or fungal infections), uncontrolled inflammatory skin disease (severe eczema, psoriasis, or active rosacea in the treatment area), a history of keloids or very poor wound healing, or metal implants/pacemakers near the treatment zone because of the RF energy. Caution or medical clearance is also needed for those on blood thinners, with significant clotting disorders, severe autoimmune or collagen‑vascular disease, active cancer, or recent isotretinoin use.
When would Microneedling be done without RF?
Microneedling without RF (radiofrequency) still creates controlled micro‑injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, but it does not use heat or radiofrequency energy. This makes it a good option for people who cannot have RF due to pacemakers, metal implants, or certain heart conditions, or for those on blood thinners who need to minimize added risk. It is generally less intense than RF microneedling, with less tightening but meaningful improvements in texture, fine lines, and mild scarring, and it still requires sun protection and pausing retinoids around treatment to protect healing skin.
What is T-Shape 2 technology?
T-Shape 2 is an advanced, non-invasive body and facial contouring device developed and built in Italy that combines three technologies—radiofrequency (RF), low-level laser therapy (LLLT), and vacuum suction or mechanical massage—to reduce fat, tighten skin, and smooth cellulite without surgery or downtime.
What areas can be treated with T-Shape 2?
T-Shape 2 can be used on a variety of body and facial areas, including:
- Abdomen and waist
- Thighs and buttocks
- Arms and flanks
- Face and neck (for lifting and firming)
It is versatile enough for both targeted fat reduction and facial rejuvenation.
Who can take GLP-1 agonists?
They are generally prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes or obesity (BMI >30, or >27 with related health issues). Not suitable for those with type 1 diabetes, history of pancreatitis, certain thyroid conditions, severe kidney/liver disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
What are GLP1 Medications?
- Glucagon‑like peptide‑1 receptor agonists (GLP‑1 RAs) are analogs of the native incretin hormone GLP‑1 that activate GLP‑1 receptors throughout the body.
- They enhance glucose‑dependent insulin secretion, suppress glucagon when glucose is high, slow gastric emptying, and act on the brain to reduce appetite and promote satiety.
