Your therapist: Mandy Morgan

Mandy Morgan is a licensed massage therapist, whose career spans nearly two decades, including more than 13 years of hands-on practice in luxury spa and wellness environments throughout Hawaii and North Carolina. Through these experiences, she developed a deeply personalized approach to bodywork that blends therapeutic skill, intuitive care, and restorative relaxation.

She is also a graduate of the Center for Massage & Natural Health and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, providing a unique perspective on the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing.

After returning to professional practice in North Carolina, Mandy joined Twisted Tree Wellness with a vision of creating a welcoming space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and support their overall wellness. Inspired by both the healing traditions of Hawaii and the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains.

Lomi Lomi

Mandy specializes in Lomi Lomi, which is a traditional Hawaiian massage that uses long, flowing, rhythmic strokes—often with the hands, forearms, and sometimes elbows—to create a soothing, wave-like experience across the whole body. It blends deep-tissue work with a holistic, spiritual orientation, aiming to relax the client while supporting circulation, lymphatic flow, and emotional balance.

The hallmark is continuous, fluid strokes that glide from one area to another, often starting at the ankles and moving up to the head, or from shoulders down to the feet, mimicking ocean waves flowing over an island.

Benefits and Uses:
Lomi Lomi is typically used more for overall relaxation and holistic balancing than for targeting a single injury

What a Session Feels Like:
Clients often describe Lomi Lomi as feeling deeply held and nourished, with a sense of being “bathed” in gentle, continuous energy.
